… this time around it’s different
Them last two albums didn’t count
Encore I was on drugs, Relapse I was flushin’ them out
I’ve come up to make it up to you no more fucking around
I’ve got something to prove to fans cuz I feel like I let em down
So please accept my apology
I finally feel like I’m back to normal
I feel like me again
Let me formally reintroduce myself to you
for those of you who don’t know
The new me’s back to the old me and homie
I don’t show no
Signs of slowin up, pullin up, blowin up, all over no mo
My life is no longer a movie but the shows ain’t over homos
I’m back with a vengeance homie
Weezy keep your head up
T.I. keep your head up
Kanye keep your head up
Don’t let up, just keep slaying em
Rest in peace to DJ AM, cause I know what this shit is like
I struggle with this shit every single day and I’m

(refrain)

03. On fire

Yeah… Ha ha. You know…  Critics man… Critics never got nothing nice to say man You know… One thing I notice about critics man… is… critics never ask me how my day. So I’mma tell em:

07. Not afraid

My name is, The Real Slim Shady, Whitout Me, Just Lose it, We made You.

And to the fans, I’ll never let you down again I’m back. I promise to never go back on that promise. In fact, let’s be honest. That last relapse CD was EHHH…”

09. No love feat. Lil’Wayne

Reprendre un classique??? Choix de reprise étonnant… mais réussi!

10. Space Bound

And love is evil
Spell it backwards ill show ya

11. Cinderella man

Fuck my last cd that shit is in my trash

13. So Bad

Be careful what you wish for

As a fellow critic, I hope you'll enjoy my humble thoughts:

I agree with you, “Talkin' 2 Myself” is damn good, both lyric-wise and beat-wise. But my favorite songs are “Cinderella Man” and “So Bad”…mostly coz of the beat though, not the lyrics. I found them very catchy.

The only songs I didn't like were “W.T.P.” and “On Fire”. I felt both of them were extremely forgettable; everything else had at least one good quality.

The best lyrics are in “Almost Famous”. They're not deep or anything, he's just having fun with them, but they're really good flow-wise and rhyme-wise.

I REALLY REALLY tried to like “You're Never Over”…he was obviously trying hard to do something nice for Proof and the lyrics were really emotional…but it just didn't do it for me…beat sucked and I hated his high-pitch falsetto during the chorus (i.e. “Yooouuuuuuuuuuu”).

The part in “Won't Back Down” where he lowers the volume and then brings it back up again was a nice touch.

For sure his next single is gonna be the song with Rihanna; it's clearly the most mainstream out of all of them. I'm curious to see what the video will look like.

Lastly, I HATED the video for “Not Afraid” even though I loved the song. Might as well have been a commercial for “Beats By Dr. Dre” and the flying was just dumb.

W.T.P. (White Trash Party) is indeed his pipi-caca song on this album… malheureusement, ça aurait pu être mieux malgré ça…

“Almost Famous' lyrics are nice indeed, but I'm now falling in love with “Going Through Changes”!!!
Sick flow, nice sad rythm, crazy Hailie “daddy” interventions! I like!
And what about his (first?) good words to Kim!? Awesome!

Ha ha yeah the part on “Won't back down” where the volume goes down for a moment is nice. Reminds me of “Rain man” on Encore where the music stops for a second and he goes “God damn it Dre where's the God damn beat!”

Mainstream with Rihanna, but clearly a regular song of the album…

The video… Yeah, could've been better. Flying was only nice in “The way I am” !!!

I'm gonna have to go back and listen to “Rain Man” now, haha.

I know I said “Love the Way You Lie” was mainstream, but the lyrics are still insane, particularly the last part:

“Maybe that's what happens when a tornado meets a volcano
All I know is I love you too much to walk away though
Come inside, pick up the bags off the sidewalk
Don't you hear sincerity in my voice when I talk?
Told you this is my fault, look me in the eyeball
Next time I'm just gon aim my fist at the drywall
Next time there won't be no next time
I apologize even though I know it's lies
I'm tired of the games I just want her back
I know I'm a liar if she ever tries to fuckin' leave again
I'ma tie her to the bed and set this house on fire”

The song does a great job of showing the fine line between love and hate, as well as showing how insecure and jealous you can get in a relationship if you're too dependent on the other person. The passion consumes him and he'd rather see her dead than in the hands of some other guy. Sick.

The song reminds me a lot of “Love You More” and “Kim”, but the former is my personal favorite.

You're killing me! haha
